Commander Heap had the honor to represent the Staten Island Sail & Power Squadron on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at "The Campaign for Illuminating Future Generations" at the National Lighthouse Museum Fundraiser at Battery Park Plaza in Manhattan. The museum

invited Her Royal Highness Princess Ann of the United Kingdom to be the honorary Chairpersonof the event.

Over 125 people attended this marvelous event. Commander Heap said that he was pleased to have represented The Squadron at this important event.

On July 22, 2021, SISPS Members: Cdr Jim McGrath, Education Officer Dennis Genovese, and Flag Officer Jim DeMeo gave a Partner in Command Seminar at Richmond County Yacht Club.  It was attended by approximately 30 people from local yacht clubs and marinas.  Most found it interesting and enjoyable.

2020 EVENTS

Past Commanders Chris and Jim DiMeo hosted an impromptu raft-up in Great Kills Harbor on Saturday afternoon May 30,2020.  Members from SISPS and RCYC rafted-up, wearing masks, staying on their own boats and practicing social distancing.  Laughs and fun was had by all.
